NEOs Near Earth Objects

Recent & Upcoming Earth-asteroid encounters:
This is some interesting information that can solve a few bets at the local bar. I am not sure if there was a direct hit heading our way that we would even be told about it… but this will give you an idea of the frequency of the near earth objects, or NEOs.
My larger concern is that they can knock out a few com satellites, and, well, then there goes your cell phones,  GPS, porn and sports channels. Not a fun thought!

Most of these would simply burn up… the larger concern are the space satellites.

Notes: LD means “Lunar Distance.” 1 LD = 384,401 km, the distance between Earth and the Moon. 1 LD also equals 0.00256 AU. MAG is the visual magnitude of the asteroid on the date of closest approach.
